Got a w211 280 cdi and I have some questions, if your are kind :)

I got yesterday an e class 280 cdi for a couple of days, to get used to it and Sunday I'll have the option to buy it or not.
I did a full check on the car with (car check) and it shows the engine has 221 BHP and 510 NM.
My question is : is that possible?
From what I've read only 3.2 cdi has that kind of horse power, 280 cdi should have 180.

A 2006 E280 CDi has 187 bhp and 440Nm although with a remap can produce more HP and torque.
Car Check and other sources often get technical figures incorrect. Autotrader is the worst.

Lovely engine. I don't know whether mine has been mapped by a previous owner but it goes like a scalded cat on kickdown - seems to be much more than 190bhp...

What I like most, though, is its unstressed nature and the sensation of waves of latent power under your foot...

Yes, it feels like it has endless power, for a day of drive, tomorrow I'll have a longer drive and make my decision everyone saying it's a tank of an engine. About the post with the hp. I did another payed check on a different website and it says the corect specs, so I think it was an error on the first check (fingers crossed). Thanks for the reply

Thank you!In the meantime i did another check on a diffrent website and the specs came back as it should,fingers crossed it was just an error!thanks for the quick reply.
