yes and no- the estates have self-adjusting suspension in the rear like citroens, if Bolide was about he could tell you all about the system.
I believe there are mounting holes for 'standard' shocks though- you'd just loose the self-levelling feature.
1 - W124 Mercedes estates don't have rear shock absorbers
2 - Each W124 estate rear self-levelling strut uses a Citroen-style sphere instead of a shock absorber to provide damping
3 - Self-levelling struts rarely fail
4 - Spheres do fail sooner or later
So - establish what the problem is and effect a cure. Your local Citroen specialist may be able to help... and any half-decent W124 specialist should be able to as well
300e shockers? Why bother? A W124 estate rides well because of the rear suspension, not despite it. Repair what's there and enjoy the car!
