Help - E220 Starter Motor!

Hi,

I'm a new user after advice :?: . I need to fit a new starter motor to a friends '93 E220 (I don't yet have access to the car or a workshop manual!). I would be perfectly happy carrying out this work on my own car, a '83 Golf Mk1 GTI :twisted: however I'm dubious about tackling a more modern car I don't have advanced access to!

Can anyone give me advice on how difficult this job is, any special tools, access to the starter motor etc. etc.

I am an automotive engineer (all theory, only practise is keeping my car on the road)! so any advice greatfully received!

The starter is no problem to change .If you can do one car all other cars are simmilar.No special tools are needed. Hope this helps.
