I am thinking of buying either a E 200 kompressor ( new version but 2 yr old...26000 miles) or a 1 yr old c 200 komp. (10000 miles) ........

(Petrol saloon models)

Any suggestions about the choice and the price i need to pay

Thanks in advance

Cheers

Geef

I found the C200K to be a lot more fun and lively than my E240, but not as comfortable or relaxed and of course roomy. Haven't driven new E shape yet though (cos I'd probably want one so happier in ignorance) Horses for courses, both lovely.

didn't see the price bit.
Merc dealers like to give the impression that as you are 'buying into a marque' they don't negotiate. They do! And they don't sell cars every day so you have the upper hand.
Like all cars, dealer prices vary but I paid £23,450 for a car with a screen price of £25,000, with a fair few extras thrown in.
Check autotrader.com and the used cars section on the merc website. Should give you a good idea. Also, Autotrader has a used value section. The dealer will have paid trade price for the car (no matter what they tell you), so you know their bottom price.
