I wonder if anyone can be of any assistance.
I am looking for a valuation for the vehicle shown below.
The story is that it is an early 60s 220. It has been sitting at a mercedes dealership in scotland since 1998, and the owner (a friend of mine) has never bothered to pick it up. They carried out 1800worth of work on the car in 1999 and it hasnt moved since, although it has been MOT`d every year since. The mileage is low and is bodily in ecsellent condition, with minor imperfections occuring from sitting so long. The interior is immaculate.
I have been giving the task of selling it, at the moment it is still at the dealer. It is going to be MOTd again then sold. If anyone knows the value/a buyer or place to sell please get in touch.

The photos were taken one icy night last week.
Thanks in advance
JJ

A lot will depend on the paint (any signs of rust or filler), chrome, interior condition and whether it's leather, condition of underside, engine & transmission etc.
I think a good one would be around £5,000 but concourse examples will fetch more. However I wouldn't try to sell it yet, if you can wait till late spring/summer as this is when classics sell?

The car has no signs of filler, or rust, the mileage is about 35k, and it has leather interior and is auto. the interior is like new. The only signs of decay are around the bolts on the back bumper. Any ideas anyone?

Looks nice, wish I had the space! Try Richard at Mercseller.com - extremely helpful and does a 'search' service for potential buyers too. There have been 2 or 3 of these on E-bay over the last couple of weeks too. Good Luck
