Help with purchase

Good day, I am a newbie and I am considering buying a C 200D estate (2006).
I have had a MB E300D, which was having lots of problems and changed to Audi (A6 2.5 TDI) and later to my current car, a BMW 320d Touring. I like the BMW's engine, especially the cam chain instead of a belt and it's fantastic mpg. I service the car myself.

However, I am quite taken by the looks of the MB C 200D estate. Unfortunately I don't know much about the auto gearbox, engine, handling etc.

Could you please give me some pros and contras (if any) when comparing to my present BMW.

Not much to tell really. Cam chain as with the BM, should be quite reliable, very economical, and has the well proven 5 Speed auto as far as I know.

A bit of a slug compared to the BMW 320d.

The C270CDi is a bit closer in terms of performance

i have a c200 cdi, seen 140mph, with 3 up, but also seen 57mpg on a run, so what more do you want?? yes the 270 is faster but for fuel and it will still do 140, it a good package!!!!
