If the car is cranking then the CPS is a usual fault

Cranking is when the starter motor is turning the engine over but it will not fire up.

CPS is the crankshaft sensor that sets the engine up to fire

it's a good idea to join the AA ect then use them to get a idea of the prob plus it's good to have back up when you need it

Just saying that my car does not start does not give us much help,if we had been told that the starter did not turn the engine over then we would have gone straight to the starter, battery or IES

They should fit a reconditioned one, I have not got a price but not too expensive and fairly easy to fit
