Can anybody help me with instructions to take the Star Emblem off the top of the grille on my 1989 500 SEL. Looks to be a spring in there, sure there's a technique, but I don't know it!!:p

If you can grab the clips from below with a pair of pliers pull down slightly against the spring whilst turning thru 90deg. and the badge should lift out

May i side track this topic slightly? My badge has had four hoody attempts but is still hanging on in there. I found a better place to park! But its gone sort of floppy. I'm scared to tist it around too much, but it just doesnt feel properly seated now. Should i just twist away until it slots back in properly? I dont know what might be loose. Many thanks, Ian.
