Soft roof is folded away at the moment,
Roll bar is up,
Windows are up,
Are my windows meant to drop when the roof is being opened or closed.
Car is registered 26/2/1991

Yes windows should drop when putting roof up or down.
They won't when opening or closing doors.

Checked the roof pump today, doesn't seem to be any power going to it, so have to get a better look at it tomorrow.

Try dropping the front windows using the switches auto open facility. Then try the roof.
There are microswitches in the bottom of the doors that detect window open fully. The roof pump may not operate till that condition is satisfied.

Never thought about that, will try again tomorrow, so the windows have to be right down onto the micro switches before anything will happen.

Thanks for your help.

Yes. If you use the auto open feature (firm press and release) it will stop when the switches are tripped.

Hi, hope you're all well and safe, had a look at the car today, got some fault codes,
16 port connector.
Port 7 roll bar
Codes 4_5_6_8

Port10 soft top
Codes 6-7-20

Cleared some of them, now at least my windows drop using the roof switch.

We checked the roof pump in the boot,
Solinoid is clicking OK, and there is power going through the wires that sit on the top of the pump, but no pump action. Could it be a duff pump. Thanks

Which codes came back?
Does your roll bar operate manually?
If the roll bar won't operate the roof won't fold.
Attached is the blink code tables.

Roll bar not moving, in the up position at the moment, no red lights in the roll bar switch, but surely the pump needs to do something, is there a way to test the pump itself.

Give the pump a thump with a rubber mallet

Done a fault code reset today, cleared all the faults, But 16 keeps coming back in port 10 soft top.
(limit switch roll bar retracted)
Any body now where to find this switch, pictures would be good if possible. Thanks

Just had a look under the car today, and noticed the 2 roll bar sensors hanging loose, and both the wee fingers are broken of, are these. Critical to get things operating.

Yeah, but would they prevent the roll bar working, car isn't being used, and not likely to be on the road with the situation at the moment.

Yes it could prevent it working.
When the sensors think the wheels are off the ground the roll bar will deploy as it thinks an accident is imminent. If the roll bar is deployed the roof won't function.

Yes, a bit of progress today, had to beat the pump into working, I think it is a bad connection,
Anyway I now have the roll bar working on both switches, the rear cover lifts about 3 inches then nothing else, I can see things trying to move, but that's about it, I noticed a bit of oil seeping from one cylinder so that's another thing to do 'but happy with the progress so far.
