This is just from my observation of adverts in the mags - I'm not in the trade, nor an expert.
I think the price should be in the range £7.5-£13k. Where it fits in that range depends on condition, history (including any major work done), & mileage. 1980 was the first year of production for the 500, and it was before the 1985 'facelift'. The range would shift upwards a couple of grand for a post-85 model.
Its done 103 thousand, but then again it is 23 years old. Will that put it in the lower end of the price you gave or is 100,000 odd miles good for a car of that age ?
I'd say that 103k should put it in the lower half of the range - even though an MB V8 should go on for ever if looked after properly. You see a lot of 107s with less than 100k on them. Many of these will have been used only as summer weekend cars and garaged most of the time. Buyers tend to find this desireable. E.g. in the April issue of Mercedes Enthusiast there is a 1980 450SL 62k miles at £12,450 and another with 46k miles at £10,450.
