Hi,

My w124 300ce is very tidy for a 1989 car but the engine is a little lumpy at tickover. I have just put some fuel system cleaner in but, do you think its more likely to be the HT leads/plugs or sticking valves that a good flush and oil change might cure?

It was last serviced july 13 2003 and has done 5k since. 20 round trip most days of the week.

Any clues, blackadder?

:?

It should be very smooth and not suffering the symptoms you describe.

I would check the plugs (+gaps), distributer and HT leads closely and replace/adjust if required in the first instance.
