I'm looking to get hold of a second-hand aircon compressor, but cannot find anywhere online that will tell me the correct part numbers.

Is there any online sites where I can enter my Regno and find which part numbers are suitable for my vehicle?

You can get your part number from this site .
Your first 6 numbers of Vin # are sufficient. Just match those numbers to the car in the list.
Scroll down to section 83 Heating and Ventilation for the A/C compressor part number

Thanks AMGeed, really useful.

I've found one on eBay that is apparently compatible with my car (212.203). It says it's Reference OEM Number is A0032308711. But the car it was taken from is a C class 204.001.

Reassuringly, the OEM Number A0032308711 is listed on nemigaparts.com for both 212.203 and 204.001. Does this mean it is a straight swap, or is it more involved?

Also, how do I verify that the eBay item (Denso brand) is indeed A0032308711? I do not see A0032308711 on the product label. The photo of the label on eBay has these codes :

As long as the Part # matches , it should fit. Very often the same Part# is used on different models and classes.

Straight swap. It just means the part will fit both a 212 and 204

I would message the seller of the Denso part before purchasing along with your Reg/Vin# to ensure it will fit if that is the one you want.

Great, good to know. Thanks.

This is the new problem. How can I get the Mercedes part number from the Denso codes stamped on the label?
I could ask the eBay seller, but I would prefer to verify first before I buy.

You could have a look on this Denso website and see if the Denso numbers cross match with the correct Mercedes Part#
Other than that you'll need to rely on the seller being correct that it will fit your model.

Thanks, AMGeed.

A few problems with the site. There is no E250 available in the model list.
And when I tried the Find my Part search, it always says "No Parts Found" for every part number I tried. For both Mercedes and Denso part numbers. For both full part numbers and partial part numbers.
Same for Cross Reference search.

There is definitely a black art to this!

Ask the ebay seller to take pics of all sides of the part. The MB part will be stamped there.
Pump the MB no in Autodoc and see what the Denso part is (if they have).

I found this Denso website that gives me some options for a E250. The option below gives part number as A0032308711, which is the same part number printed on the compressor in my vehicle, and also the same part number printed on the eBay replacement.

So it should be correct and hopefully a straight swap.
