how to reset Immobiliser on S320

Hi all
I have changed my car battery today, since my just cranks, i think the immobiliser needs reseting.
can any one help please

what year and model is the car please? w140 or w220, 320 inline 6 petrol, 320 v6 petrol or 320 cdi.

short answer is that the immobiliser does not need resetting. you have a different problem. give us loads of details and previous problems etc and we will try harder, you are in the right place but we have nothing to go on so far...

hi, thanks, had the car serviced last week by a private machenic, found the old battery week, replaced with a new mercedes battery, today went stert it did not start, called aa checked all fuses OK, central locking dont oprate now, on the dash board it reads, ERROR START.

this suggest a fault with the key or the relevent module on the car. is this the flip out bladed key or the non bladed key? i am guessing you have only one key, if you had another you would have tried it, right??

You can do a re sync,,the details are in the DIY something like putting the key in the ignition and pressing any button on the key, do take a read. I take it it is the flip out key

hi Alexander, i have 2 keys, have been checked the keys r ok

you need plugging in to a star machine my friend. could be many things. where are you based?

Hi, how do you know the keys are ok?

exactly what i thought, but i am trying to walk away from this one, i think it is going to be 'one of those problems'. the o/p is not giving much away, but i am sure there is more to it than we have been told so far.
