Just came across this article.
(abridged version)....

Faults:

Harsh ride
Uncomfortable driver's seat
Restricted rear vision
Vinyl upholstery
Useless spare

Summary:

The harsh, uncomfortable ride is at odds with the overall intent of the car..,
It's the sort of ride you would expect from a pure performance sports car, but the CLC
is as far from that genre as a Corolla.
The CLC would be a vastly improved car if Mercedes dropped the sports pretence
and instead fitted suspension and tyres that moved the ride handling compromise
a long way towards the former C Class Coupe... by Mercedes standards, it's actually gone backwards compared with its predecessor.

Why not have the springs changed JacK or possible the shock,, it could transform the ride

I have the CLC220 sport and I wouldnt recommend the lower tyre inflation. ( Not unless you want to pay for new tyres in the near future)

I went to MB about my ride and was told to expect a hard ride with the sports setup.

My concern with the car is the handling

The car is actually called a CLC Sport Coupe and yours has the handling Evolution package.

I can't understand why you bought this model car if you didn't want a car with a sporty ride, when it's specifically designed to give just that.

There is huge misconception about very stiff springing/shocks yielding better road holding. While this may be true on "billiard table" smooth race tracks a more compliant suspension may keep the tyres in better contact with the road surface than one that bounces the entire car- and its centre of mass up and down. Its the same for very wide low aspect ratio tyres- unless you are driving the car to its limits on a dry track the trade off against ride comfort and accidental tyrewall and rim damage is pretty one sided and expensive too.

RESPONSE FROM MERCEDES?
The suspension on the new Mercedes CLC is based on tried-and-trusted technology. The front axle is a three-link suspension design with aluminium torque struts and McPherson spring struts offering outstanding precise wheel location and a high level of ride comfort. The standard-fit anti-roll bar is attached to the spring struts by means of a linkage. Rebound buffer springs on the front shock absorbers boost the effect of the stabiliser during dynamic cornering, thus improving the Sports Coupe's agile handling.
Springing and damping on the multi-link independent-suspension rear axle is provided by coil springs and single-tube gas-filled shock absorbers with large rubber bearings. Here too, the anti-roll bars improve handling stability. The front suspension remains a three-link strut system with coil springs and an anti-roll bar, while the rear-end has a multi-link design, again with coils and anti-roll bar.

Mercedes also told me that " RIDE COMFORT" is subjective???

ANY THOUGHTS ON HOW TO OBTAIN THE " HIGH LEVEL OF RIDE COMFORT" THAT MERCEDES CLAIM???

Most of the comments I hear about wheel and tyre choices are made for aesthetic reasons,
most new cars ride reasonably its when they get a few miles under their belts that the cars and their owners honeymoon period ends.

Tell me about it.

Had mine a year now and have become very disillusioned with the car.

Poor all round
