How to trace service history of my new c class - tracing ser

Hi all.  

I have just bought a C180 estate June 2000 model from a car supermarket.  The one previous owner was Leaseplan.  Leaseplan did not send the service history on to the car supermarket.  Is there any way i can trace the service history of the car?  

I have bought from them for many years and never had any problems with the cars - just that i'd like to see the history if at all possible.

Why not drop Leaseplan a letter and ask for any history......
Alternativly can't a dealership just punch in the reg number and bring it all up???

Thanks for your help guys - I called Leaseplan and spoke to a really nice lady who let me have the area that the car was leased to.  I called the Merc dealers in the area and found the dealer where the car has been serviced since new (June 2000).  

I found that it has a full service history, the last being a "B" service in May this year!  

Makes me think i got a bargain - you will know more but is a C180 classic estate auto with air con and cruise in a nice dark blue at £9200 good value (73k miles).
