Hi, i'm new to this forum but am hoping I can be helped with some advice.
My parents have a 1994 E220 2.2 petrol with an auto box and its suddenly developed a problem. Basically at has a slightly erratic idle but this is vastly exaggerated if you put it into gear. What happens then is that it will almost stall, then rev right up and continue this pattern (although not as harshly), it sounds like it might be the idle control or something but I can get a manual for the book so does anyone have an idea what the problem could be?
