S320CDI 55 Reg Feb 2006 13,000 miles: 06: retail 36325 trade 31325. mileage spot on. 0655: retail 37400 trade 32400. based on 9k, so lose 175. both assume COMAND.

Command standard, MB Direct have had two at £30,995, one hell of a deal on a £50K+ car.

Go on, depress me!

E200k Auto, Elegance, August 2000. "W" plate.

I've had it 6 years, not expecting much to be left....!

E200k Auto, Elegance, August 2000. "W" plate. 51k miles: retail 8025 trade 5550. 200 in your favour for the miles. hurting or ok?

Hmm, not surprised, really!
£30,000 to £5,500 in 6 years. Depreciates faster than Malcolm's new SL500 gets to 60mph, well nearly:)

Looks like a private sale would be well worth it if I keep the car in good order. I'm going to keep it for another three or four years, make the most of the low miles.

Cheers, I think!

£4,083 per year or £340 Per month or 0.48pence per mile in depreciation. Not the worst by a long way.

This is the same though for all cars for the first 5-6 years, this is why I can see no sense in paying out a few grand in service charges, my V70R had the first 10k mile service and not been done sinse, still worth top book. That cost £38k back in 98. I was offered £8k last week, but not for sale.

very close. the book trade prices are almost aquivalent to the excellent ratings, about 300 out. i sampled 3 mercs and it is very close.

the best bit about having the book is the look on a stealers face when you go to buy.

The most useful thing with glasses or CAP is that it gives the changes in models and the spec to go for, they were invaluable when doing the auctions and trading.
