Hi All,

2000 E320CDI

Yesterday, set out to do a few little jobs around the car. Accomplished filling up the washer reservoir (done it before ;) ) and finally worked out how to get the front windscreen jets out of the bonnet (supply pipe on one side had come off, which is why the jets weren't working).

But the beautifully-hardbound, all-English, 450-page owner's manual apparently can't tell me a) if the car has heated washer jets (if it doesn't, what are the two electrical wires to each 'jet block'; if it does, why do the jets freeze in cold weather? :( ); b) how to change the nearside fog light bulb.

I believe I've seen shorter manuals on open-heart surgery. :?

Regards,

;)

Heated washer jets only work when the car is running, not when parked up

A) They are electrically heated, but they aren't working. Better in any case to get some -40 screen wash.

B) There is a trap door under the bumper below the fog light. Open it, reach in untwist the cover, pull out lamp.

Just prise them off, one side at a time.
