Just done a mot check it passed the last one with a few advisers 2 front tyres cut and front brake discs pitted so I’ll ask if they have been done

Genuine front discs and pads are circa £230 just for the parts so not cheap and two premium tyres circa £300 the two so worth bearing in mind when negotiating.

Looks well maintained. If you view the car, check that the sat nav sd card is present as its an Audio20, not Comand fitted.

Yes I got a surprise when I looked through the photos it appears to be running COMAND 4.0, the car looks a nice example hope it measures up when viewed

There are plenty out there Lee be patient you will find the right car, FSH is a must the rest is on condition when viewed, the 19in wheels (optional extra) do look good on this car and quite rare

Private sale, no dealer facilities to pay for but you would still get recourse should there be any problems

Lee dont get frustrated, buying a car is the fun part - well for me anyway....try to enjoy the hunt.

The estate carries a premium by numbers generally there are twice as many saloons sold in the U.K. and the estate is easier to move on in the trade as a secondhand buy so value to be had if you want a saloon. We always have been a nation who likes estates much to the amusement of Europeans.

The 350cdi is a robust engine (it’s been in production since 2005) just make sure the car has FSH and hasn’t been abused. Big ticket items are brakes and tyres but they are easy to inspect so no problem there the oil cooler seals are difficult to inspect so everyone takes a chance on that but not the end of the world if they need doing at some point (Mercland inspect for this with their cars), but on the whole a well built reliable car if not abused.

Have you seen the CLS Shooting Brake? Based on the E Class but with an oh-so-sexy design and quite unusual.
But finding the right one is probably a lot harder than your present struggle especially in 350 Premium Plus Airmatic and Distronic guise.

I’m trying just got of the phone with the car malcom recommended the 65000 mile one it’s a no go for me the guy is albain or Russian only has service history up until 2015. Said he used local garage until now but no paper work to back it up to me that’s a big no no and thanks guys I like the look of that cls I’m thinking a 2 door coupe might not be a bad buy as my Son it’s starting driving lessons soon so he will have his own car so maybe I won’t need a 4 door saloon
