Hi,
Just putting this out there:
I have a 450 SLC '78, and I've been told it has the AMG kit on it, consisting of front lip spoiler, suspension, steering wheel, air cushioned electric heated seats and I think thats it. I've only really discovered this after buying the car - does anyone know if Mercedes made an AMG SLC 450?
I've been hunting everywhere to find more information about it - and since I can't seem to find another SL/SLC with similar seats etc. I just wondered how rare it was or if there was anyway of proving its authenticity (if that makes sense).
It all looks original and as if it left the factory like that (including the photos from its restoration 11 years ago).
Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Hi pookie

Fitting various bits of AMG kit and a couple badges on a standard model doesn't make it an AMG though. However, that's not to say your car hasn't been worked on by AMG. I think there would be abundant evidence that would identify it as an AMG, if that's what it is.
