Hi all, SL350 R320 with a solved problem!
Had the Abs and a couple of other warnings come up on Dash before Christmas, took her for a Starr as a Chrissy present and was diagnosed as the rear speed sensor. They, a well known Indy quoted £450 for Sensor and Ring. I know you are supposed to be wealthy to own a Mercedes but....
Finally weather has improved so “whipped off” the Sensor, thought if it works, wonderful, well it fought back a bit but don’t they all, and replaced via EBay for £14 and...............no warnings up and no stored problems!
I’m sure the other side will now go bang but I’m happy and a tipple this evening, or lunchtime is in order! HAPPY!

Well done, that is a result. £14 is quite a saving on £450.

Great result , for the sake of £14 you had nothing to loose.

Agree -the cheap stuff is all taxes and duty - good stuff kicks in at about £10 plus.

If you can, go to Waitrose and look through their bin ends (if they still have them at your store), I’ve found many a nice bottle hidden in there and never more than £16, not bad when it likely started off at £30-35,

and how many folk would have stumped up that ridiculous amount of money for the repair instead and getting their hands dirty ?

    Shutup!:)

In the early 2000s my wife used to do a regular chunnel run with friends for a day of shopping in Calias - even there(Calais), wine was really good value and decent stuff was very affordable.

I used to do that regularly, out at about 20:00 and back just after midnight (then a 4 hour drive back to South Wales)

The problems start when you get confident and start buying the wine before the repair:rolleyes:

    An iCarsoft would've diagnosed that,
while I don't sing their praises as much as the mojority, spending a fraction of your saving on a V2 would save you a trip to the Indie next time.

Problems also occur if you start drinking the wine before the repair.
