I've been given a 380

Hi, I am new to this game, so excuse if I make a mistake!

I have been given a dark green B (84?) reg 380 2 door coupe. All the electrics/gizmos work and the engine starts. The wood dash is a bit tatty but the seats etc are OK.

I think it has done about 100k (can't remember)

Question: It needs an MOT and looks like it will cost about £300 to £400 to do it. Is it worth it?

Any feel for this would be appreciated.

OK More Info Guys - it is a 380 SEC 2 door hard top 102k miles. All it requires is a windscreen and exhaust. A pal has offered me £200 to "take it off my hands" - I'm being done - aren't I? I thought, looking around Autotrader etc I should get at least £500.

If I was to do it up - anyone know where (or who) I can get the wood dash restored by?

380 should be an SLC R107

yes - worth 3K minimum in ok nick...

The 380 SEC is not a cabriolet... but rather a proper coupe.

Quite different from the SLC.

The 380 SEC is a W126.

oh - thanks for the edit - that makes my reply look silly

380 SEC for 200 quid - i'd rip your arm off...

dash repair - any piano repairer / french polisher or similar should be ble to help? but be careful - the veneer is VERY this - do not sand it!!!
