This is for keeping in the boot and when the car goes for an MOT/Tyres they can use this, is my thinking. I am concerned how that hole got there in my floor. There is a good possibility the tyre place who balanced my wheels my have jacked it up incorrectly.

I always stand & watch the tyre fitters jack the car up. The last set I had were fitted at home by a mobile tyre fitter, he used 2 air bags to lift the car.

Hockey Pucks will do! it’s just an extra measure to avoid any risk of the jacking point being missed and provide a bit of extra clearance of the skirts. I’m not saying the local tyre place did it but, thinking back the condensation overnight on the left started just after I had the wheels balanced, a few weeks before the car was MOT’d. Had anything stuck the car whilst driving to cause that, surely I’d have at least heard/noticed it.
