Just bought a 1995 S500

I'll pick it up next weekend- It doesn't have a full dealer history and has low mileage c 66,000. Drives great but a little rust showing at foot of front wings (will be corrected by garage I'm buying from). They will also service it, MOT it etc before I collect it next week.

I think it would benefit from a good lookover from either an independent or a main dealer to check it sound and what issues there might be as the garage I've bought it from has alot of german prestige cars but is not a mercedes specialist.

It comes with a one year warranty on engine, gearbox, electrics etc (not exhaust, brake discs or pads etc). I'm in Chelmsford, Essex and Waterhouse is just around the corner.

I paid £3,995 fot it - it's either a great buy or a dog ....

Sounds like you got yerself a nice car, well done. Is it the saloon or coupe?, the coupe's always rust on the front wing corners.

aye thats soo true , mines been stored in a garage most of its life yet it has slight bubbling on both front wing corners , easy to rectify but just shows how fragile the wings are
