I just purchased a 1989 190e with 177000 miles, the car has been siting for three years, after some tuneing and cleaning finally got it to run, however when it warms up it begins to misfire and run real poor until it finaly just stops, have replaced fuel pump & filter, can anybody point me in direction of problem?

thanx, pat.

if that's 3 year old fuel in there

I'd be surprised it started at all. Redex or similar, a new set of plugs and some fresh fuel might be an idea.

Hi drain and replace the fuel as Myros says, you may even have to replace the fuel filter again.

Fuel pumps can be renovated by taking them off and putting the pump end in diesel then running backwards, it cleans them right out
