The fan belt has been making a right noise for a while now. So while driving past a parts shop i popped in and got a new belt (first mistake not looking first). Got home while removing the old belt noticed the noise was being made by the tensioner not a slipping belt as the belt is pulled and the tensioner squeeks. Anyway fitted the new belt as I had it but not the time to remove and lub the tensioner. Now tomorrow I get to remove it again and do the jod right (second mistake always make sure you have time to do a job right before starting it!!!) When will I learn?

There has been a few post of late with the same thing, one this morning, the damper makes an rattle and the idler pulley squeeks
