Just a bit of advice needed.

After driving my car for an hour on the motorway (at 70mph) and with climate control on, I stopped at the service station....

I noticed that there was water trickling from the mid part of the underside of the car (I'm not very technical, but seemed to be tracking from the front engine compartment along the undertrays).

The "water" was clear, odourless and didn't feel oily... no smell of fuel/oil etc.

My question is, is this normal eg. with the climate control? Or should I be worried and get it checked out? After turing off the A/c and driving the car for another 20 miles, no more water was dripping...

Cars' temp OK, Performace OK, Coolant levels - OK, Engine sounds - normal.

Car: C270 CDI auto (2002)

Cheers for any advice...

As SAM the hotter the day the more water there, some folk turn their air con off,5 mins before the end of their journey, this dries the evaporator and stops it from rotting

Thanks Sam/Malcolm, you've put my mind at ease....

Will try turning a/c off for the last few minutes of my trips - hopefully that'll do the trick.

Cheers once again! :)

That only works on the way home, and not when going to the unknown:D;)
