I hope to purchase a 2006 C230 from the fatherland of Mercedes in the couple of weeks.
I need a LHD car as I only going to be in the UK for about the next six to eight months, then I off to more sunny clime (a hint is in my name). I am taking the car with me as the secondhand market is crazy over there and I can not stretch the budget for a new one.
Well, my question is for the car to be registered in the UK it will need a SVA or MOT test which is fine, but I have been told that the headlights must changed from LHD to RHD is that just realignment of the bulbs or a complete light unit?. Also I have been told that the speedo must be MPH not KM?.
If anyone can help a man who's just started off his love affair with the 3 pointed star, it will be appreciated.
