Limp mode w204

problem with car going into limp mode the odd time.
Its a w204 c220d 2012, automatic 7g
happened a few times over the last few months, as soon as I switch car off and on its grand again, no eml comes on, plugged in computer and no codes.
is there any faults to look out for on these cars?
People saying dpf etc is there anyway I can force regen? Or driving a particular way?
When it’s in limp mode it’s very sluggish and jumpy through the gears.
gearbox looks to be weeping slightly underneath at the sump but not alarming rate, 90000 miles on car had its oil service not long ago, no mention of an gearbox service in service book.
Had a boost leak before which resulted in intercooler being changed due to a large hole in it.

The transmission can put the car in limp mode . Dont assume the engine has a fault.

you are guessing without codes really but forcing a regen isn't a bad idea at all , think its 65 mph at 2.5k revs or a bit more and keep it there for a few miles and it should regen , its summat like that , I'm sure if you search on here or google you will get a more specific description

driving the car normally tho it’s smooth no jumpy gears etc, it’s going for a gearbox service in next week or so so hopefully this solves it thanks
