New member on this forum, so hello all :)

As the title suggests, looking for a particular 560 SEL with reg number G*** TRC (I do know the whole reg but wasn't sure if it was ok to post) and would like to know about it's current state and whether it's for sale.

My Mum used to own this car when I was a kid, and my Grandad before her. It was in the family since before I can remember and I loved it! Unfortunately we moved away about 8 years ago and the car was sold at the same time. I was gutted to see it go. I always wanted to track it down and find out if it was still going but never had the time...

Until the other day when I swear I saw it on the M1, so now i'm determined to find it. I still remember the reg number from when I was 12 (which is odd!) so I checked on the DVLA database. It is still taxed and MOT'ed, and is on the insurance database so somebody is driving it around.

Is it one of you guys??

If the car is not for sale then that's fine, I'm more interested in whether it's being looked after and has found a good home. When we sold it, it wasn't in great shape and I just assumed after all these years it would have been scrapped or broken for spares. However, it is still going according to the DVLA so somebody must have restored it to it's former glory:D

So if anybody knows anything about this car, please send me a PM and let me know.

Thanks guys.

Al.

I'm based in Loughborough now, and I think I saw it on the M1 going past Leicester. Basing this on the fact that it was the same colour W126 with a dent on the passenger side door.

Do say what colour the car was, you could also ask all the indies in the area if they know of this car. the info from DVLC will tell you who did the MOT test

Car was navy blue. Not sure of the official MB colour name. That's a good idea with the MOT test, will have a gander. Thanks.

EDIT: You do infact need the MOT or V5 document number, so that's a no go. My memory isn't that great:razz:
