Long shot this..I used to own a Mercedes and I aim to buy another. I bought the original 230TE and had it serviced by a gentleman I can only remember as 'Sam' based in timperley in cheshire. He was an ex-mercedes service engineer and was fantastic..Is there any chance any of your members might know of him ?
