Ok so lurching might be too strong a word for it but my 2004 C220 cdi has deleloped the habit of a gentle lurch or intermitant acceleration at low revs (around 2000ish). Not all the time but increasing.
Feels like I'm on a boat sometimes

I think it's starting to happen at higher speed now

It's got just over 60 000 miles and it doesn't seem to effect the ecomomy, returned over 50mpg the other day on the motorway.

Thank you in advance

Hi , Sounds like the car needs a good service , new fuel filters etc. My apologies if it has been.

Your Mercedes
S class
Do you have cruise control, if so try using it and check if it still happens.. you may have a problem with the electronic accelerator.. they can be reprogrammed on a diagnostic machine

It had a big service a few months ago, about 3500 miles until the next.

I think it still happens on cruise control but I'll check to make sure. It's generally only at about 40mph so I'll find some roadworks.
