Hi folks
Looks like I need to take the head off my engine after last week's coolant pipe problems.
The workshop manuals say to take the head out with the exhaust and inlet manifolds attached. Seems that the inlet manifold is in two parts and is bolted to its lower half with two hex bolts ? Is that all ?
I'm going to renew the hydraulic timing adjuster, its two pins (since the book suggests the pins will be a pig to remove), new head bolts, new gaskets all around.
Is there anything else I should bother about ? Eg. valve-stem oil-seals (how much work involved in stripping down the head to get access to those ?)
Engine has about 104,000 miles on it and is otherwise good & strong. Not smokey at all.
Thanks
Frank
