Hello, I hope the admins and mods will allow this. I'm trying to find a workshop manual covering the M112 3.2 V6 - mine seems to have developed a serious case of headgasket leak (sniff test says exhaust gases in the coolant, mayonnaise under the oil filler cap, coolant disappearing somewhere, no sign of a leak)

Is there a good place to go to find this? I'm pricing up parts for the job (I've done headgaskets before, admittedly not on a V engine) and before I begin, I want to make sure I've covered everything, including the necessary knowledge to re-assemble. I've seen and built engines with one-time stretch bolts, and with studs that can be re-used, but I have no idea what the torque specs are for all the bolts/nuts/screws on this engine.

I don't mind paying for knowledge, and I've already got a Haynes manual that covers most of the things, but draws a line at the supercharged 3.2V6 (covers the N/A 3.2 though, so that's a win). I'd really like to know if the specification for the head bolts is the same for the N/A as the supercharged, and any other little details that aren't covered by a general manual. Is there anyone able to guide this poor lost soul?

Before you start, your sig says C32 AMG. I’d remove one of your plenum chambers and check for signs of coolant around the intake valves. Head gasket failure is not common on these, but I’ve seen chargecooler leaks quite a few times. (it’s underneath the supercharger, coolant runs through it)

I've read the same, so I will be checking this - the thing that makes me suspicious is the coolant in the oil. I'd love to know if there's an oil-way that runs near there! My plan is to start stripping down and checking things as I go, I really don't want to have to pull the heads off, and the good thing is that the plenum is on the way

If it’s just a bit of mayo under the cap it can be from steam generally entering the crankcase from ring blowby if you have the chargecooler leak. Coolant can also leak inyo the crankcase from two seals between the timing cover and the engine block, but this is rare. Oil coolers can fail too. There’s a few places, but actual head gasket failure is extremely rare on these engines
