Just checking the oil on my new to me C350.
I found the dipstick tube waggles around.
This is a pic of the top rear of the right hand side of the engine
You can see the dipstick tube with a bracket attached with a hole in it
You can see there is a tab on the engine block with threaded hole.
It looks like there should be a bolt holding the bracket to this threaded hole.
Now i can't get the bracket into position over the hole, its maybe 15mm higher than the threaded hole.
Almost as if there should be a spacer between them?
You can see my dipstick tube is angled unlike the EPC diagram - and it looks like a bolt should just go through there:
The car has had lambda and NOx sensors recently so I assume something has been left off....
Should I just go ahead and manipulate the dipstick tube down to the tab on the block and stick a bolt in?
Anyone else got this engine can take a quick look at how the dipstick tube is secured to the block at the top?
Thanks.
