Hi all has anyone fixed a problem that will not go away on diagnostics.
The code ave got is P010106
And what icarsoft is saying is MAF air sensor 1 has a malfunction or a algorithm.
What started this was a intercooler hose had split it was the black 1 NOT the1 red 1 so a changed the hose still no good changed the MAF sensor still no good am stuck now.
Obviously it's an electrical fault not a mechanical fault any help will be much appreciated thanks.
This is on a w212 e class 2012 plate 651 engine.
Cheers

Did you clear the code.

I had a funny issue with my W220 recently. I decided to change the air filter as MB interval is too long in my opinion (and ot was filthy). After replacing the filter the car would be very lumpy at standstill (like a misfire or mount) bit fine with accelerator down.
My icarsoft said MAF, I was not having it. After doing some googling its not uncommon as the MAF is now dealing with fresh air and car thinks its running too lean.
I cleared the code and the car gradually
got better and is now fine.

So could be something similar, can is confused since you replaced the offending pipe.

clear codes and see if settles down. is the car running ok?

If you’ve checked the boost hoses then the next most common is the intake manifold. A smoke test is the best course of action for these.

Link to one I did a looong time ago…

I’ve heard people have had success using those overly smoky vapes, but I’ve not tried myself ;)

UPDATE
Phoned a MB specialist talked to him and he said to remove the ECP MAF sensor so a did and the car runs spot on now so obviously there was nothing wrong with mine but a did take the car to him and he put it on star diagnostics to clarify that mine was ok but he said the problems am having with me car before he said it could be a broken inlet manifold bolt but for now am just running it until it stops.
Cheers for the replys

If 100% no boost leaks, re-adapt maf sensor values (which will now all be out of spec from driving it with a boost leak).

if there are still boost leaks, fix them first then re-adapt maf

Also... bin the ECP MAF and buy a genuine OEM Mercedes MAF from Grangemouth Mercedes, it wont be as much as you think.
Aftermarket MAF's are a total waste of money, most come from china and are dogsh*t.
Just my opinion fwiw.
