Owned my 300Sl for 3 weeks now. Starts perfectly first time, and from time to time the car would rev up upon ingition (foot no where near accelarator pedal!). Everytime i start it now it revs up to the max 7000 rpm a couple of times before iddling back at the normal rate. There is no strange feeling in the accelarator pedal, and not had any strange revving when the car is running. Could this be electrical? i know there is not a great deal of computers on this car, but had some problems with the fuse connected to the diagnostics, interior lights, stereo curcuits. Can anyone help please?
