MB dealer parts price increase

Just been to my local dealer to order some parts and he told me I was just too late.
There was a big price increase in parts earlier this month with some items going up by as much as 100%.
Genuine MB parts prices used to be quite reasonable on a lot of bigger non technical items, but no longer. I just paid £250 instead of the £180 I was expecting to pay last month.

It's often cheaper to buy big ticket items in Germany.
Ebay.de is a good source.

Ah - but have any other prices come down? They often adjust their prices to reflect their stock holding. I once bought a head rest from Ford. The dark blue one was £20 more that the light blue one!

Didn't ask, I was just told there was a big price hike across the board. Mercedes dealer in Blackpool seems to be having a big clearout with all the stuff its been advertising on ebay over the last few months.
