I have a 1994 W202 (C180 classic) which I bought in February this year.
It was due its yearly service in May, so I took it to a local branch of Nationwide Autocentres as a one-off as I was fairly certain that nothing was wrong with it (indeed, they commented that it was like new) and wanted something cheap and cheerful.
I was loathe to take it to a MB dealer as (a) they are a rip-off (b) presumably not worth it for a car of that age and (c) I have read reports on this forum of how they are not always up to scratch and often not very helpful.
However, going forward I want to take it to a local independent specialist who will be able to give me sound, expert advice at reasonable costs, and where they will hopefully exude a genuine appreciation of the marque, and where they are genuinely grateful for my custom.
Can anyone please advise? I live in East London, so am looking for anywhere in the North/East London or West Essex region.
