merc 230ce air flow meter??

hello all

i own a j reg merc 230ce, recently its been having poor pick up, the mechanic said its either the air flow meter or fuel pump, then another mechanic said these cars dont have air flow meters, can anyone help?

That's correct you do not have a MAF, though the smaller engined car often only have one pump, there are many mods out there for a twin pump set up.
have a look under the offside rear back, by the wheel and see how many you have.
