She (who must be obeyed) has decided that she rather likes a Grand Cherokee Jeep. One of her pals has one. My local garage is a bit sniffy about them, but one of my mates, (who digs holes with his JCBs) has a 2001 vintage one with a 3.1 diesel in it. Both he, and the local garage man say that the 2002-2004 ish versions with the 2.7 Mercedes diesel is the one to get.
It seems that auto transmissions get iffy after 60K.
Anybody with the Merc engined ones have any views?

George.

A mate of mine has recently purchased one and loves it, what I want to know is how can he get 38 mpg where as I only get 25mpg with the same engine, something not right somewhere.
