Hi guys,

Had this lovely C220 CDI for Stage 1 calibration. This runs the Delphi management system same as the C200 CDI and C250 CDI.

Full OBD communication but with a fast READ time so all data off the vehicle within 10 minutes. WRITE time is even faster which is great.

Was a little down on power in stock dressing and couldn't really find why? Everything was up to temps, IAT's where great (this time of year helps) no faults in any systems and all data logs showed the vehicle was running as it should.

So was expecting low figures after but made great power in the end which we are very happy about.

Gained +54bhp and 105nm of torque

So unlocked whatever it was missing.

Below are shots, plots and video

Many thanks

Anthony @ GAD

That almost makes be consider the smaller diesels as an option when I've ruled them out in the past and only considered the V6's . Impressive gains .

These 4 pots aren't like ones of old , my old reliable Euro 3 four pot , the steering wheel and gear knob vibrate .

Modern stuff with twin Lancaster counter rotating balancer shafts don't .

That remap has turned a C220 into a C250! OK, that S204 is post facelift, wonder what the remap would do to my pre-facelift S204 C220!

Did you notice (both before and/or after remap) a slight hesitation when pulling away from stationary - a 1/2 second delay after pushing the accelerator pedal down before the car actually starts to move? Mine has done that since I bought it at 3 3/4 years old, 64k miles, almost 7 years ago now, still does it even though I have just had the full gearbox/TC ATF change done! Initially it was disconcerting when pulling into a gap on a roundabout - is the car going to move into the gap quickly enough or am I about to get sworn at/T boned??!!

You need a pedal box because of the inbuilt throttle body delay with drive by wire .

It has been improved the take off but only slightly as its seems to be the nature of the beast with these gearboxes! It does to me feel more like the torque converter isn't making its mind up rather than throttle body but I could be wrong.

Many thanks

Don't understand what Gazwould means! Anyway, shame is you're 2 1/2 hours from me so temptation to ask for a remap price receded!

Not that I'm aware of , as you have multiple settings you can get it to how you like .
Plug and play , removable reversable .

I've got a w204 c220 cdi. And getting the sprint booster was the best thing I did on this car no more lag. Also I have just done a stage one remap and dsg remap and the car is feeling amazing now

It's a torque converter automatic gearbox , who did the Stage 1 and gearbox remapping ?

What year is yours ?

Only thing left of dissatisfaction is my gearbox , slow being a torque converter slush box and likes to chase high rpms near WOT not always obeying a flappy pull .

I'd like it to have a quicker change and obey flappy everytime .

I've seen a few OBD devices about but would defeat the object if it spent even longer at high rpms .

This would be the ultimate as fully
customizable .

i got the remap done from carlton tuning. also it was the gearbox remap and stage 1. but i had the sprint booster from before the remap and it is amazing no lie even on stock i had no lag after installing it and only takes 5mins i would never drive my w204 without one now. before the sprint booster if i put my foot down the car would take 3secs or more before doing anything.

Sounds like your car is faulty...

That's just how they are and so are many other cars and makes .

It's a daft slow throttle response delay built into the throttle pedal developer coding to eek out every last drop of fuel for economy and CO2 figures on the automotive treadmill.

The bit I find amazing is someone doesn't believe it exists , astonishing given the amount of evidence out there .

Sometimes a manufacturer sorts out the built in delay in the throttle pedal coding with a software update but it can be quite a fight with multiple people complaining and multiple visits to the dealer .
