Mercedes specialist insurers

Anybody know of a good competetive insurer or broker offering insurance for Mercedes cars.

My current policy is up for renewal so i thoght i would shop around.

My cheapest quote so far for comprehensive, limited mileage 7 years bonus etc is £235. But i can't justify paying nearly 25% of the car's value in insurance, even TPFT is only marginally cheaper.

You get down to the £200 mark and you're paying primarily for the third party aspect (plus admin charges) which doesn't matter whether the car is a £250 wreck or the latest Maybach - the risk and so premium is the same. Hence, the value of your car is irrelevant and why tpft is no different. I suspect the only way to reduce further would be to reduce the mileage limit to 4k or so if it were practical as this is the only thing that would reduce the third party risk. But even then, the cost to administer your policy, plus their profit will mean that there has to be a 'minimum premium' below which there is no point them bothering.
I'd try the web comparison sites such as moneysupermarket.com etc (just google car insurance). That's the quickest way to compare quotes as the do genuinely compare dozens. It's saved me hundreds recently, but I wouldn't hold your breath to be honest.
