Any W124 m103 owners that can answer this problem i have got right now .
Replaced the water pump .But i am waiting for v-belt damper i have all the parts back together. And i can see now it is possible to fit in the new damper i am waiting for .But now i find that the strut bracket is not level,, it runs off a little , it looks to me as if there should be a spacer behind the strut bracket [ see picture ] .The tensioners are identical , adjuster works fine. I can see nothing in the manual that a spacer goes in there only sealant front and back of strut. .

Need help on this please any one come across this doing their engine ? . I can see that thers no room to fit a spacer it will bring the strut bracked over to catch the front TDC sensor holder .
