Lift the tail gate, cut out the rubber tube at the top N/S, inside there your find your broken wire, common fault!

Easy way to tell is to hear if the lock is actuating at all, if actuating then its the rod, if no noise then poss wire.

Ive cut back the rubber cover to reveal around half a dozen wires of which none appear to be obviously broken. What colours are we looking at?

Hi

There is a little plastic push rod that breaks on the lock. This push/pull rod operates the locking mechanism. You can buy a new lock or do what i did and heat a self tapper and screw it into the broken rod to kinda make a new end for the rod.

I did this about 3-4 years ago for a neighbour and realy wish i had taken a photo. Lock needs to come out to fix it but it is not too taxing just fiddly.

Test to see if you can hear any noise when the central locking is operated

Hope this helps,
