ML Tailgate

Hello all,

I have a problem with the electric tailgate on my 2009 ML 320 cdi. It opens fine but when shutting with either the tailgate button or keyfob often the tailgate goes down a few inches and then goes back up.

Any help with this issue would be appreciated

Check fluid level.
Other than that it's possible the pinch strips either side of the tailgate will need replacing. A test using a code reader will soon tell you.

search - might not be this model but others had this - forget exactly - but same issues - I think was related to an antitrap feature as something got muddled
