ML320 Auto Model Sept 03 - Engine Cuts Out / Rolls Backwards

To All,

I can't believe that nobody else, has not experienced these problems with my recently purchased a ML320 Automatic, two problems that can not be resolved:-

1) Has any one experienced the following problem, whilst driving over road bumps or driving fast and then braking and or then pulling off the engine dies... loss of power any ideas?

2) The vehicle tends to roll backwards whilst on a hill i.e. if I stop on a hill and then let go of the brake to onto the gas it starts to roll backwards this is automotive gear box it should not roll should it!!!

Cant help on prob 1 but regarding prob 2, my ML 270 auto will roll backwards on a hill start also, i suspect this is normal, one of the few occasions where you need to use the left foot at the same time as your right.
