Of all the interior options available to the MB owner, I would be intrested to know if you could only pick one that is fitted to your car, what you all would choose, why and how much you use it, Linguatronic, elec seats, split seats, parktronic, distronic, heated seats, cooled seats, contour seats, massage seats, sunroof, panoramic, air con, climate, fold mirrors, blinds, keyless, harmon, bose, command, TV, DVD, ice box, etc, whats the favorite, and whats worth the extra money.

Electric Memory Seats. I don't use them very much but that is the whole point, I can get to the settings I want straight away.

Keyless go is the best for me, to see people stare when I just place a finger on the handle it or unlocks or locks. Mind you I could not live without the rest now.

Automatic box! It's still an option. No way do I ever want to change gears in my own car again...

My top four would be: - Parktronic- a must. Electric Memory seats (I'm 6ft wife is 5ft 3in). Command -great for exploring. Folding Mirrors -so can squeeze past in tight spots and so can park without losing them as careless cars go by too close.

Am assuming auto and cruise as normal on Mercs.

Auto & Climate count as standard equipment these days.

Really nice to have and useful:

Electric memory heated seats & mirrors.
Parktronic.
Comand with phone option. (I love it).
Folding Mirrors.
Split rear seats. (I haven't got them).

Just Nice to have:

Auto dipping mirror.
Auto lights and wipers.
Sunroof.

Sorry, missed off cruise control as a nice to have and useful. Don't use the speed limiter much!

Parktronic on the CLK - essential on one where you cant see much behind.

Oh and heated seats as well up here in the cold north:p

Its only when other people post that you realise how many of these things are taken for granted and are not thought about as an extra.

.

Yes, but they aren't actually standard on many models (A,B most C and Most E of the ones I know). Aircon is often standard but not climate control. I guess many of us would choose auto and cruise as the first options in the crowded UK traffic, so perhaps we assume those for all. I think it is over 90% of C's and E's are auto. All S's. Etc.

Just out of interest, when the E class had brilliant manually adjusting seats (partial electric came later), I had no need for electric memory seats. I knew I liked 8 turns on the tilt mechanism, so much on the height control, seat right back and then two clicks forward and so on. (And they never went wrong!) But once partial electric came in you could never get the same place twice -without an electronic memory.
