Replaced the missing grille badge

My 212 never had one of those, possibly due to it being an earlier (2013) model but I wasn't really bothered, it didn't have many badges in the end. :)

John (Developer) never had one on his either, no idea why, but he had one retro fitted and apparently it was a nightmare of a job.

Roger probably used expanding foam or no nails left from his builder days ;)

Not sure how either will bolt on easily. I want a permanent easy connection to save messing with crocodile clups on the battery terminals should the battery need a boost in the winter.
Have I got to connect the lead directly to the battery ?

Here's what I have.

Not familiar with those 63s but I only ever needed a battery conditioner on the consumer battery in the boot (when I broke my knee). It never flagged any issues, but I knew it wasn't going to get used for 2 months (although I did drag myself in twice just to start it and move it back & forth a few feet...!)

In terms of starting, my C63 never missed a beat, whatever the weather!

^ Someone else with an E63 said much the same thing.
I'm now expecting my consumer battery to give up as its 5yrs old now, unless the previous owner had that pleasure and there is a newish one already fitted.

Can you see the batch date on it? May give a ballpark idea as to how recent it is (although I appreciate it may have sat on a shelf for a while too!)

Acid got me one when I was getting the stage 1 at the time , £110 couldn’t complain, I was asking to borrow some tools to fit it but by that time one of his guys had done it already , no charge sir!

I change at 5 years anyway Roger (ok not the i8), for the sake of £150 just not worth the hassle !

Per my thread a few weeks ago, nothing wrong with older batteries, just need to keep an eye on them (wife’s 169 is on the original 05 battery)

I'll probably get one from Tayna when the time comes.
I just got a Varta Aux battery for the E55 before it's picked up.
Great value at £36 + delivery compared to an MB labelled (still a Varta I believe) one at £80
