My mate is buying a C270 CDI, what to check

A friend is going to buy a C270CDi (estate) 05 plate with 50k miles. Is there anything we should look out for.
It does have fmbsh up to date.

Worn suspension bushes and arms - my 55 plate C270 needed 'em replacing at 45K.

Symptoms are a very crashy ride over uneven surfaces.

Gearbox, fluid should have been changed. Check the radiator just in case its a valeo one but if its an 05 its exceedingly unlikely that it is. If it isn't a valeo, this is a good thing

What extras should we look for, car is Avantegarde SE?
What does SE mean?

The SE means it will have more equipment as standard than the Avantgarde.

I have decided to go with the C270, I had a close call nearly buying an Alpha 159, but got over that, luckily I did not need medication.

With my last two cars I have had serious and expensive faults, so have decided to stump up £1000 for a 3 year policy with Black Horse CoverOne, it talks a good talk, I just hope the claim legs match.

Anyway, thanks for the input, I'm looking forward to the car, picking it up on Thursday and perhaps some banter on these forums.
